My name is Sandi Daly, or, more formally, Sandra Anne Daly, and I am here to be an uplifter. An inspirer. An encourager.
It's been said that "you can never outperform your own self-image," and I am living proof of the truth of that. I was raised to see myself as nothing but a worthless, ugly, unwanted victim, and that IS how I saw myself for the first 34 years of my life. I "just knew" that I was put on this planet to suffer at the hands of others. I "just knew" that I would never be happy and that no one would ever love me. Basically, I JUST KNEW that my life would always SUCK, and I questioned - often - why I even bothered staying.
And then I had the experiences that I have described in my books, followed by even more that I am sharing in my new book, "Get A Backbone." As I have lived each of those experiences through to their conclusions, I have come to realize that I am here for a damn good reason. And that reason is YOU. And your loved ones. And the people that YOU will have an impact upon as you move forward from here.
So thank YOU. Thank you for being you. And thank you for being here. The world is blessed because you ARE here.
My 6th grade teacher told me, "You should be a writer when you grow up. You have a gift." I did not believe him, so I never really did any writing (that I was willing to share) until MUCH later in my life. It turned out that I needed to experience some ... um... "challenging" circumstances before I could really write something that had actual meaning.
That happened in 2007, when I was doing a lot of speaking in the prisons around the state of Arizona. During that time - between 2005 and 2007 - inmate after inmate asked me to write my first book, Choose Your Universe. I did so. For them.
And then in 2009, Pop Your Paradigm was published (You can download that pdf for free right from this site if you would like to.).
In 2014 I wrote and published Successfully MidAir, which (sort of) picked up where Pop Your Paradigm left off.
All three of those pieces were inspired by real-life experiences, as is the book I am currently working on: Get A Backbone: There's no such thing as "victim"
I am so grateful that I lived through the experiences that all of the above works address, and I am honored that I have been able to produce them in hopes that they make some small difference for YOU.
